Maybe it's beacause they're pretty, or because I'm named after one... but I LOVE FLOWERS.
They come in an abundance of colors, smell like heaven, and is the perfect addition for hair, lei, table tops and jewelry photos!
Sometimes when gathering flowers, I think of the quote:
"When you like a flower, you just pluck it. But when you love a flower, you water it daily."
I say, because I love the flower, I'll pluck it, wear it, and share its beauty with the world. Then go back and water the tree that it came from. The flower will die whether it's plucked or not. Might as well enjoy it while it lasts. :) Happy August!
